About the subject test
Hi,
I'm taking the subject test on saturday and started studying today (yes, very late...). I just got the Princeton Review book and went through the test. However, I noticed that the questions were a lot more elementary than I thought. Same thing for the test that was sent home, but the actual content accoring to the description in the booklet somehow hinted that there might be more. This question is mainly to you who have already taken the test. Has any of you seen questions needing anything like the following? Linear algebra: - Generalized eigenvalues - Normal operators Algebra: - Composition series - Class formula - Algebraic field extensions - Degree of a field extension - Galois group of a field extension Topology: - Urysohn's lemma - Fundamental group Analysis - Stone-Weierstrass - Stieltjes integrals - Fatou's lemma - Riemann mapping theorem I'm just trying to see where I should limit my cramming! ![]() Thanks. |
