I think it's unfair to the author. Also, it gives testmagic bad image... so guys maybe you can at least PM each other and be less open abt it?
The author is an idiot and a ripoff. And on top of that he is a stupid businessperson. You can go to his website, pay $40 for a VERY bad outline (which you download), and then request a refund if you are not satisfied.
In all honesty, people should stop asking for it because it is a terrible tool to study by. If they can't get the princeton review book internationally, then study your math books. This is a bare-boned outline and not even worth the time to read, at least not if you want to do well enough on the exam to get into grad school in math.

He can be an idiot, but if this kind of 'sharing' of copyrighted material continues testmagic will definitely get a call ... from lawyers :|
I am a lawyer (actually, I am technically retired, as I didn't want to pay bar dues since I am now going for my Ph.D. in math). While not a copyright attorney, the fact is that Testmagic is not the instrument by which it is being shared. The messages are people asking for it. I don't know, and I don't think you can prove, that anyone has actually sent it. There is no copyright violation where people are asking others to supposedly break the law.

As much as I may be against such "sharing," I don't think that there's anything I could do to stop it outside of the TM website.
@dragon: Actually, the person or company (for the author is most likely not the seller) would appear to be great at business--their goal is to use almost-boilerplate copy to get people interested and to buy. Theirs is stricly a numbers game--sell as many as possible, eat the returns, and laugh all the way to the bank. This is pretty much standard ebook selling practice. Just my two cents, of course.![]()

Wow. I didn't expect Erin would be OK with it. Anyhow, i gave my 22 cents above![]()
I wouldn't want to go on record saying that I'm "OK with it," and we do not currently have a policy of prohibiting offers or requests to "share" such material.
Actually, I don't really like to police our members, and I try to keep things as free as possible, but not overly moderated. I try my best to find a happy medium between an over-regulated forum (which I find annoying) and a newsgroup (which contain a lot of spam).
Of course, as always, feedback is welcome.![]()

Dear all,
My initial purpose for offering the book to other people was to protect them from wasting some money. Since then, many people have contacted me asking for the book and it made me think that it isn't fair for the author and, more importantly, it's illegal sending out the book in that way. At least, the author was kind enough to give me a refund!
Therefore, to protect Testmagic and myself from any potential troubles, I'll stop giving that book to anybody.
And my last suggestion: it isn't worth asking me for the book!![]()
Best regards,
vvaann
