ok.
im really intimidated by the kind of maths in this forum. i got the PR cracking the maths gre book.thats it. i cant get any other. and im givin my gre this november.

i dont think i know enough. i will be completing the second yr of my UG math course in may. and i havent even started dealing with some of the topics you guys rattle off with such ease.. dyou think i got a chance? gosh, thats such a pathetic thing to ask, dont you think?

Ish, are you taking the advanced mathematics GRE Test? If so, you should look at the exam published by ETS at http://www.gre.org. Go to the subject test area. Looking at the test will give you an idea how prepared you are.

Thanks for the reply LE. I have checked the site out...It doesnt look easy
but I think I got time you know? considerin that I'll take my test in nov this year..so I think I'll give it a shot.
Are you a math undergrad?

hey ish i'm also plannin to do gre november. I have just started reading a bit. i was wondering hows cracking the maths gre book. thanks.

I guess you mean the Princeton Review book? I have heard its the most comprehensive one around for the test. So I would suggest you get it.

Thanks. Ya.. I think its better to have a book for revision!! I gonna buy it soon.

Just wondering did u do the test on http://ftp.ets.org/pub/gre/Math.pdf ? Before doing any revision, I did the test last night and my score was really bad

. As I just finished my second year, I havent covered some of the stuffs. Need to work on quite a lot of topics!!

Are u givin the test on Nev 12 or Dec 10?

Havent done it. I guess I shall take it this week Mohsin. I will let you know how I did. Dont worry about this score as of now. Take it like a diag test and keep improving

I am taking the AGRE Nov. 12th.
Is your UG program a three year or four year course?

I am doing joint honours in maths and computer science and its 3 years course (British system

). So, I will be final year student from sep. How about u?

Ya..do the test and then we can discuss those questions if u like.

I shall get back to you on that sometime next week. I am having tests in college right now so cant take this one this weekend.

I am also doing a three year course, but its just math. I am already a final year student, since june.
Yes I took the general GRE about a month back. Have you taken it?
