Re: Thoughts on the April 2nd GRE
I don't think so. I didn't try this time, but last november's test was also harder than most test takers (including me) expected. I guess it's always of the same difficulty -- always harder than the pretty easy practice test.

Re: Thoughts on the April 2nd GRE!
It was a lot harder than I expected too. There weren't very many obscure or straight-up hard problems, but so many of them were really time-consuming just to read, figure out how to solve, and then do the calculations. I needed twice as much time.
I might take it again next time. I just wish there were more GRE-like questions out there; ones that are tricky and test relatively deep knowledge of the basics, but straightforward to solve once you've set them up. |

Re: Thoughts on the April 2nd GRE!
I think that the test was much harder than I had expected too. The difficulty lay in the broadness of the area tested, I think.
Though I was not a math major,I took the test in order to appeal the mathematics ability for admission ( I am going to apply the major other than mathematics). The result is ... the half of the test, that means from question 1 to question 39 was usual questions( not difficult ), but the remaining part was very difficult for me because I didn't study comprehensive area of mathematics; about the last half question required much more knowledge I didn't study:graph theory etc. In addition, the length of the sentence of questions was generally long, so only understanding the content of the questions took several time;If we solve all of the questions, we can use time only 2 and a half minutes a question. By the way, I have a question. The percentile table attached in the practice test is same as for the real GRE test? in order to take 95 % below, do we have to take 61 (raw score base) ? If so, getting 95 % below is very difficult... |

Re: Thoughts on the April 2nd GRE!
The scoring is always adjusted to the difficulty of the test. So even if you had a pretty hard test it doesn't affect your score and percentage because everybody did badly. Percentage really means how many people had a lower score that you on a certain test.
