Has anyone taken both the GRE general and GRE subject test (preferably in Psychology)? Do you think it is absolutely necessary to take both or one over the other?

The GRE General exam is usually required by most programs. The Subject tests are optional aka recommended (May help your application if done well) unless stated otherwise. You may also choose to not submit the GRE Subject scores if you didn't score well.
