Website to Study Verbal
Hello All,
I am studying to retake the GRE to improve my verbal score. I am an engineer/web programmer and made a tool i developed into a web application after requests from friends. It has a few nice features, but all of them are centered around one thing: teach me the vocabulary. It will not perform magic such as teaching you the word list in one day, but if you are looking for a good way to attack over 5000 words this will do the trick. Please feel free to check it out, GRE Vocabulary Training, and let me know what you think. I am always open to feedback! (Especially on what i can do to improve my own score )Charles |

I made some major updates to the program. It will now:
-Ask you to complete a sentence. -Pick a word from the definition -Pick a definition from the word Hope this helps, I don't know if you guys tried it but i'm learning a lot from it ![]() |

Hey Charles, this thing is COOL! I've been plugging away on it for a while now and it's definitely helping me to remember words.
It looks like the system keeps track of what I already know and puts up new words that I don't? Thanks for the hard work! Neison |

You are correct, it keeps track of which words you know and dont know. Removing learned words and adding new ones as you use it. When you do finish a list, it will go into review mode, reviewing the words which gave you trouble.Quote:
Correct, I moved it to greatvocab.com to not discourage SAT use ![]() I was also very surprised to see people getting into the 100+ (and even 700+) ranges so fast. Thanks again! Charles |
