Here are some explanations for the first question, hope they help!

Blank 1: we need a word that could be used to describe the time that somebody would potentially spend at the cinema. "Leisure" time means free time, so that works. The other two choices could conceivably make sense, but there's nothing in the sentence to suggest that the time is "precious" or "limited".

Blank 2: if people are not going to the cinema but are still watching movies at home, then one explanation is that the rental and DVD retail businesses are doing extremely well. That's what "booming" can mean, so that's a good choice. We can also eliminate the other choices because there is no hint that there is any cooperation going on and leveling would be a bad thing for sales.

Blank 3: "contemporary" is the right choice because we need a work that contrasts with "last 50 years" (which would be older films). Also the "profound" and "stylistic" are not suggested by anything else in the sentence.

About 1 "precious" is the best. limited is not good because it said they spend their time on DVDs movie so their time is not limited.
    2:booming
3: you van see years ago so contemporary is the best option.

1opulation is best because then it mentioned by citizenry (king) that is part of population.
2: engaged is best because it work directly with affair not help not cooperate
3:alien is best. it said argue so the others options is not good.

    Whats your idea

    Best

I still think the best choice for blank 1 is "leisure" not "precious". There is absolutely nothing in the sentence to suggest "precious" or "limited". The trick is that "precious" and "limited are both words commonly used when talking about time, but that does not make them the best choice for this particular sentence. This is a trick that the GRE uses often. They give you words that aren't incorrect for the blanks, but they want you to choose the one that is most appropriate. In order for "precious" or "limited" to be the best we would need more information in the sentence.

    What do you think?

    hi pal,

I used the same analysis you described (thanks to you of course ) to answer the question and I think also that the best choices are leisure, booming, contemporary,

the next question, however seems too tricky to me and my analysis is this

Blank one: Cant answer really confused between cities and societies, this blank is really confusing
Blank two: engaged seems correct because participation ( and cooperation) both hint to a second party, I'm I correct ?
Blank three: I think alien is the best word because we need more explanation from the sentence for both (detrimental and advantageous), correct ?

    thankkkks
