hi folks,

I'm quite new to this forum and also to GRE preparation. I have been told by a few guys that the GRE verbal pattern has changed from more vocab-driven to more grammar-driven and analogies and sentence completions have ceased to be a part of GRE verbal now! I am wondering if this is true ! Can anyone please throw some light on this?

Thanks.

So, it's still vocabulary-driven like it's always been?

I'm just starting to study right now and I want to make sure I'm focusing on the appropriate material

HI,from receiving a post from the moderator,I am asking the moderator to allow me to help GRE aspirants for whatever they need.
I will help anyone with mnemonics for memorizing Barrons word. Its very easy to remember words.
For example remember this word Unbridled-violent

link it with bride.Unbridled-sounds something like un brideled. He became violent(unbridled)as his BRIDE ran away with other guy.
Undermine-weaken
(when a mine is dug under the ground the ground gets weaken)
Please help. I have lots more to offer for for eg tips on cracking Analogy section within 1hour of sudy etc.
Please allow me to share my tips so that you can do something in return.

If you don't have time to memorize 10,000 words (which I don't think I could do with 10 years to prepare for the test) try grouping them by similar meanings. For example, probably 50 words out of those 10,000 mean criticize.
