- If your approach is memorizing word list then start with the list that contains least number of words (say Z) . It will give you a feel of accomplishment.

- Mnemonics is the way to go.
Vocab Station is a great site, which has few mnemonics already and more can be added by users .

- Read Read and Read .. articles, news, journals what ever you find.
The New York Times - Breaking News, World News & Multimedia
The Christian Science Monitor | csmonitor.com
Science and technology information from Scientific American
are a few good websites to find good articles. You won't expect to ace in test just reading these articles, but they definitely will help to memorize important words that you have come across in your wordlist

- Planning... Make a target to finish each wordlist within certain date.

- Revise after reading every 15 words. Vocabstation makes it easy.

- If you use firefox, download Dictionary tool tip extension

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...oltip&status=4

You can see the detail meaning of each word along with synonyms, related words, and antonyms simply by double clicking on the browser. Most of the definitions contain images as well.

Again vocabstation and firefox with dictionary tool tip is a great combination.
