Here are some tips:
Avoid any answers that quote directly from the passage. They are usually traps. The right answer will be a paraphrase of something that's in the passage. If something is "Inferred," that means that it is not stated in the passage. So eliminate any answer that IS stated outright in the passage. Sometimes the question asks you about two main points or two examples etc. If one choice gives one correct answer and another choice gives a different correct answer, eliminate both and look for a choice that includes BOTH points. TAKE YOUR TIME! Read slowly, and read the passage more than once if you need to. You can make up the time with the analogies and antonyms--those usually go very quickly since you either know the word or you don't. |
