Typically there are 6 sentence completion questions, 8 analogies, 8 antonyms and 8 RCs (from 3-4 essays), give or take a couple each. As for answering the 'theme' question in the RCs, it will usually be apparent in the first paragraph, but sometimes, as in an essay arguing for a particular point of view, the first paragraph presents one perspective which is later refuted by the other paragraphs. So in that case, you'll get the theme only by reading the whole passage.
In any case, I think you should read the whole passage before attempting the questions, and not try to do them one at a time by looking for the answers. If you have only 1 week, I suggest you stick to doing the Big Book verbal sets. They are very close to the level of the actual test. If you can't find it in a store, there's always the internet ![]() |
