Re: How to get a high GRE quant score - For average math or non-math test takers

Adonis, 2 cents from a top scorer like you are worth millions here! I'm sure everyone here at TM appreciates your good advice; it's so rare these days.

Thanks for this! Could someone identify the Barron's book that's referred to? Or any other sources of practice questions? Thanks.

Re: How to get a high GRE quant score - For average math or non-math test takers

Great advice indeed. I sat for GRE on feb 1 and I thought I would get around 800 with one or two mistakes as I am from engineering background. I indeed up with 770 with five mistakes, some must be very silly mistakes.
Your posting definitely will help me remind not to do the same mistake again.
Further, I expect similar suggestion on analytical writing and verbal too.
regards

Re: How to get a high GRE quant score - For average math or non-math test takers

hi i have just joined testmagic and first message on the non-math experts forum was very encouraging! i would like to practice with you guys because it seems we are sailing in the same boat. i have bought a book called ",math review for standardized tests" which i found very useful for brushing up the basic funda.s tho' a bit simplistic.
maybe some of you will find it good too. have started with that, and going on to barrons now...so it becomes less intimidating.
see you later then.
