Exclamation How useful is the Bigbook?

hello,

i want to know how useful is the Bigbook? i have 3 months to prepare for the GRE test & i want to prepare with the best limited material, so that i'm focused in my preparations.i've read in various posts in the forum that Bigbook is comprehensive & one of best resources BUT on the other hand there r various posts saying that the Bigbook papers r lot easier than today's GRE level.
Now i'm really confused whether to buy the BIgbook or not? moreover it's not easily available.
as i intend to do very focused study, i wanna know if it's really worth using the Bigbook?

Nishi

Re: How useful is the Bigbook?

yeah eephdwannabe, i know it has 27 actual GRE tests but they're from old pattern & i don't wanna spend time on just too much stuff.i most humbly and respectfully would rather do the best limited stuff.so that i'm not left without mastering any technique b'because just too much was available.
i hope u get what i mean, moreover the bigbook is hard to find.......

Re: How useful is the Bigbook?

The bigbook is an excellent source of practise.the verbal workout is worth it.math maybe a bit easy as new topics have been introduced now.so combined with other preparatory material bibgbook can be really useful. It is difficultt to locate one though.

Aprt frm bigbook u can always get kalplan, princeton review, arco etc for practising.People have their own opinions abt these books but i believe tht one shd practise using every book he can lay hands on.

Re: How useful is the Bigbook?

The book is not very useful at all - not like the CAT format of the current tests at all. Don't get it unless you have $100 bucks to waste.
