Should I spend $150 on the Kaplan GRE Exam 2009 Premier Program ??

It's very expensive and I don't know if I should spend money on it!

I am buying the Barron's book(for the word list) + The Nova prep course book(for the writing +math sections)...
plus I will use the powerprep that is offered for free...

what do you think ? should I make the investment ?

Thanks,
Roni.

Man I bought it two days back. Its overhyped!! But yes the verbal section and their tricks are good. I just don't tink u would need it after Barrons and Nova. But thats just my humble opinion.

Goldust 's dreams are becoming reality.
I agree with KIA that it is overhyped. But I found the CD to be worth the price I paid. (In India, we get a special low-price edition, something like 50% less).

Luma is on the way!
For me, it doesn't make sense at all to pay this amount of money on a prep material that is not an ETS product!

In my opinion, the non ETS references either under-state or over-state the test, but more likely over-state it. People pay money for buying these books because simply they need to cling into anything. After I attempted GRE, I can tell that the basic ideas are covered in the PP however the difficulty and the presentation of the questions vary. Moreover, I still can't find any DI reference that resembles those of GRE.

I think $150 is just too much. If you are in India, then try to find a cheaper version (such as economy edition available for discount in Asia pacific). You may be able to get a used version for less in other countries such as US. Search on Amazon.com or half.com. My experience says that you can do well even with other cheaper alternatives.

i think ebay prices are amongst the cheapest. another option is just to google the isbn of the book. you can find very good deals like that. i have had a lot of good deals that way.
