You could try the online resources like Number2.com and kinda treat it like a game. Try and make things like flashcards and come up with weird definitions to remember meanings of big words. Also, you could try and get somebody else who's giving GRE as well and can practise with that person. The idea is to know the strategy to crack the questions. I bet you have the manuals like Princeton Review and Barons. Just understand how to crack the questions. A tutorial service could help you as well, if you prefer to learn in a group. You would be forced to practise in case you have others competing with you in a classroom.

    hey ting,

what a coincidence, my schedule is also showing the GRE general test by late october 2010. So shortly i can advice you that if you are coming BSc from engineering faculty just for a meanwhile forget about quantitative section, concentrate on Verbal especially those scary word list (maybe a world list of vocabulary )

anyway, side by side take up small quiz tests after every successful list end up. vocabulary section all depends on you, because you the one who is gonna give up this exam. Plan your plan for yhe first month just how it fits you. Books like Barrons, GRE bible & Kaplan are good stuff materials, especially GRE High Frequency Barrons list is valuable, a 350 word list fresh up your memory....

this is my second month, and comparing to my first month i can see a lot progress during every particular gre sample exams. best studies, stick around on this forum and have a good time ~
