Is Dr. Raju's morally wrong?

There is a site where recent GRE questions are posted and questions are limited by what students who took it could reproduce. Is this morally wrong?

it sure does violate the copyrights of the ets test material and the secrecy agreement signed by the students who take the GRE

In my personal and very humble opinion...I spent some time browsing about Dr Raju's veracity, and even if opinions are divided all over the place, If you see it as practice It wouldn't hurt at all, plus they do have tons and tons of stuff, with a highly variety (from very easy to highly difficult). I've no idea if the questions are coming from a GRE Exam or not, but I saw some questions that they are identical to old editions from Barron's, Nova and Cliffs. Personally I think that the GRE CAT is updated in a constant basis, and since every person who took that exam had a different experience...I wouldn't go blindly for those questions, but I would used them for practice.
Peace

I like some of the Raju questions because they're fun little puzzles, but many are beyond the difficulty level of the GRE. Some may come from ETS, but I'm pretty sure that many come from other sources.

I've hard that the ETS monitors "brain dump" sites and moves pretty quickly to slightly modify questions that are out in circulation. They can be pretty tricky with their tweaks and I think that their objective is to trick someone into thinking that the test question is the same that they've seen before. In other words, the question might be MORE difficult if you've recently seen a very similar, but different, question.

Whatever else you can say about the ETS, they are very good at devising difficult and tricky questions to test very elementary mathematical concepts. So in general, read the questions very, very carefully and don't make any assumptions about what is being asked.

Many of us are used to taking exams where the instructor assigns problem set questions that are very similar to exam questions, so much so that sometimes one gets in the habit of being able to identify "the type" of question without carefully reading it. That's a really bad habit for the GRE and I think is one reason why some very gifted students underperform their first time taking it: they assume that they know what the question is asking because it's similar to a PowerPrep or other prep book question, without picking up on some of the subtleties of the question being asked on the exam.

So my advice would be to play around with Raju questions--some of them are pretty fun puzzles. But don't use them for drilling for the GRE.

its okay to read it...you are not braking any laws by reading anything if it is freely accessible...and if its beneficial then why not....

but the question asked in this thread is whether it is legal to do what that dr.raju guy is doing or not....well its obviously not morally or legally correct on his part. ets test material is copyrighted and cannot be reproduced in any form without their consent.......its like piracy.....he can be sued. but going through that 'pirated' content is not illegal. some may say its morally incorrect, i dont have any stand on that, although i do agree that if you join his community or whatever, you are only encouraging him, but if you dont its still not gonna make much difference because most others will join it anyway.

If the Raju site does violate ETS copyright, then wouldn't it be the case that anyone who disseminates that information (e.g., post the question on this forum) also be guilty of copyright infringement?

For example, if I illegally download music off of a P2P network and then upload it, I could still be sued by the rights holder even though I wasn't the one who originally ripped the MP3 off of a CD.

i am not an expert in intellectual property rights but i think you would not be liable to be sued if you download it. but definitely you would if you share it for others to use because you would basically be distributing for free what costs some money leading to loss of the original vendor.
