Powerprep generates two tests each with their own set of questions. If you repeat the tests, you will see some new questions -- especially if you do drastically better or worse. Otherwise, you will see a lot of repeat questions which obviously won't help towards simulating the actual test. You have only two chances to accurately simulate the GRE, use them wisely.
The PBTs (BB + 10th Edition) are a poor substitute for the CATs. The math portion is drastically outdated (a.k.a. easier). The verbal is still very useful for practice. Aside from the content, the CATs are more intimidating and difficult to manage. Most of us have never taken a CAT before and it's drastically LESS flexible than any paper test. Without practice, almost everyone I know performs worse on the CATs. CAT - Computer Adaptive Test PBT - Paper Based Test |
