Best maths workbook?
Hi there,
I was due to retake the GRE last Wednesday, but chickened out at the last minute after getting practice scores the day before of between 660Q and 680Q. I need to get 720Q+ on my actual exam so I'm going to take it mid-October/November time. I've worked through the Ultimate Maths Refresher, Kaplans, Nova, Barrons and Princeton and I'm still not where I want to be for the Quantitative section. Can anyone recommend a book of maths problems that I can work through that has lots of problems and also explains the method so that if I get one wrong, I can learn what I've done wrong? Thanks a lot! |

Walt, do you think that the book you mentioned is that helpful? I skimmed through it and thought otherwise. Did you go through it? Please let me know cuz I need to work on my DI too.

I've worked through it. There are some typos (particularly in the early sections), but the questions are decent. It certainly wouldn't be my choice as only math prep book, but it's questions provide good practice if you're just looking for extra problems to work through with explanation (as the OP appears to be).
EDIT: It has some DI questions at the end that I haven't worked through yet. |
