Hey,
One of my classmate recently gave GRE and scored around 1200+. On asking him did Barron's worldlist helps, he said he really didn't encounter much words from the list and went on luck basis for most of the words he didn't know. My gree is in Oct. and i seriously need to know then from where should i leran those extra word???
Even for quant he said Barron's is not good for all the topic.
You can really feel that I am in panick !!

Please help me and those who have already given it please tell me how was the pattern of their GRE !!

Barrons is probably the best book for verbal out in the market.Trust the wordlist.I did not use Barrons and I regret it.For quant I can say that Barrons is not upto the mark.But if you have been anywhere half-decent in your School Maths then practising test is good enough

I agree with gamutree. Most of the GRE words are from the Barrons.If u prepared all the word list u most probable score good score.

Dnt listen to thy friends...
Trust barrons ... Its a proved one.. So many friends of mine have prepared form Barrons and got impressive score... Even I am using barrons....

Barron's 3500 does help you to get the sense .
You can guess the answer better than a person who did not eat Barron's.

Quant is not matured in it, though.

hello piyush, there r more confusion out in the market about barron than the trust, it is a good choice for any one who is targeting arnd 550 in verbal. because comprehensivenss of the book requires you to finish the book by heart not just skim. when u do it well u will have a decent score in verbal.
apart from that for maths u shud go for nova maths it is good book for beginners and for some brush-up purpose.

Barron's is unparalleled book for GRE(verbal) preparation.To undeceive your confusion.........
Bigbook is provided by ETS.Bigbook Verbal section is very close to Real GRE.I have seen few word except barrons list, at bigbook.Most of the word from barrons list.

I would suggest to go through the Barron's very well. Then others. I started my preparation only with the barrons. After finishing that at least one times now i follow Big book word list & Word Smart. It works because i read the words repeatedly from different books and i m not getting bored while i was bored earlier only sticking with Barrons.
