GRE after applying for the universities

Hello all.

My Status:
I want to get admitted to some school in US for next year's fall session (for an MS). I haven't taken a date yet for the GRE. I have just started the preparation for the same. I know I am late, that is why I post this.

Queries:

1. How late am I? And what should be the deadline by which I should take GRE and toefl?

2. I heard from a friend that we can also give GRE after applying for various universities.
Can someone confirm this?
Also, if this is the case then what are the cons to it?

It depends on the deadlines - If they are in November you are probably late. If they are later you should be find. Make sure your test date is at least a month before the test.

For the second question, yes you can give the GREs after applying to your choice of schools but your application will not be considered until the universities receive your GRE scores.

manish_manish is on the way!
You are late, but not that much.. Take first GRE and then go for Toefl..

Check your desired universities deadlines, accordingly book test dates for GRE and TOEFL..

Check your targeted universities website url here: U.S. Universities

TOEFL is not that much tough as GRE, 15-20 days are enough to prepare for TOEFL.
