Though I never used it, I'd recommend NOVA for math if you don't come from a math background. Identify your weak areas ( verbal or quant ) and start working on them. If it's verbal, you can start learning the 50 wordlists given in Barron's and go through the big book tests as soon as possible. Two months of preparation are enough for the GRE and you should be able to do well if you plan your schedule well and work in the right direction. Start taking the practicing tests when you feel comfortable ( but don't delay too much ) and take as many practice tests as possible. Use the tests just for practice and judge your performance but don't give too much weightage to the scores.
Good luck for your test. |

THANX fromcttoupen
my weak area would be quant...i will def look into the NOVA book...while studying for quant what other stuff should i look into/focus on...as for verbal i'm making flash cards for any words i encounter during my readindg/testing... i write down the meaning of the word and also look up synonyms...is that a good way of studying or should i also incorporate antonyms too |

Hi s_meriam,
Flash cards is a very good way of studying but dont know if you should actually invest time in making them. You could instead purchase them & invest more time on learning. Try BIG CD Flash Cards, they have all words of Barrons plus additional frequently asked words. Also dont stick to synonyms only, you will need to know antonyms as well. Also know the usage of the word in a sentence because the words will not always be asked as synonyms or antonyms. Also, know all the meanings of a word, it will be helpful in analogies. Also read Word Power Made easy by Norman Lewis. Pretty good book. Regards, mad_dy |
