Hi, Manish. Thanks for posting the very interesting GRE score range list. Since admissions committees also look at transcripts, recommendation letters, research experience, statement of purpose's, etc., can we interpret the score range list to mean the following: if we score in a specific range, then we are likely (but not guaranteed) to get into a certain tier of graduate schools?

Hi Conquer 321, yes I agree with you that admission committee looks at trans, recos, sops, work exp, etc..

GRE score plays good role in addition to other things. Well if your GRE score falls in specific range, you should try to apply for that range's tier of grad schools, chances are good you will be picked up if your academics meets universities requirements with good recos and sops..

But if your GRE score falls in low range, some top universities has minimum cut-off and you may be filtered there itself.

manish...thanx...one question...is it better to study synonyms to get thy vocab up or better to study synonyms and antonyms too...when i find a word i don't know about or am not sure about i make a card of not only what that word means but also its synonyms...

I'm very sorry for replying late meriam. I think its better to study all synonyms to get thy vocab strong. If u know the words synonym, then its not difficult to know its antonym.

That's great. Yes you are doing it in very good way. If you encounter words that you never heard before or don't know its meaning, just remember it and also try to gather its synonyms and group them. So next time if you see it again, your memory will flash with at least one of its synonym and you will know what it means.
