Frustrated with Specific Issues - PLEASE HELP!
I just sat for the GRE for the third time and here are my scores:
November 2004: V 550 Q 700 August 2009: V 430 Q 750 October 2009: V 570 Q 660 The problem is that I cannot carve out the best V and Q scores and combine them in to one, the programs I'm applying for require a score from ONE sitting. I have just signed up to take the exam again at the end of November. I've done practically everything possible and I'm starting to think that luck has a lot to do with it. I've gone through hundreds of word lists (both Barron's and non-Barron's) and I'm constantly creating new flash cards for new words that I come by (from reading or previous exams etc.). I have to say that since I neglected practicing math during September 2009 and really increased my vocabulary, my scores have obviously reflected that (a 140 point increase in V and a 90 point decrease in Q). I am shooting for a V of 600 and Q of 750 in the SAME SITTING. My scores above prove to me that I am pretty damn close but I need that extra polishing. I already know where my weaknesses lie and I need advice on where and how to improve the following: Q 1) Combinations and Permuations 2) Probability 3) Triangles (especially triangles in comparison questions) V 1) Reading Comprehension 2) Further increase in vocabulary I've done the following books.material in their entirety: 1) Kaplan Premier 2010 Live 2) Princeton Review 2010 3) ETS GRE Book 4) Barron's Word Lists 5) Kaplan Word Lists 6) Princeton Review Word Lists 7) mygretutor.org Your advice is really appreciated! |
