Missing middle name on GRE registration form
When I registered for the GRE I did not include my middle name (which I never use). However I will be using my passport as ID to be able to get in the test center and my passport contains my middle name. Does anyone has any experience with that kind of situation?
Thanks |

Hi, I ran into a similar problem. I forgot to include my middle initial on my registration, however one of my id's included my middle initial and the other (my passport) included my full name. When I got to the test center.. I first gave them my id with middle initial, because my picture looked so bad, they asked me for a second, my passport. And they did not say anything. Also, I called ETS to double check and they said that it wouldn't be an issue. The most important thing is your first and last name. these must be exact. My advice therefore is 1) stop worrying 2) call ETS (corporate hotline and not your test center) and verify 3) bring many id's. Note that a university id is a valid form of identification per ETS website.

thanks guys. i just contacted ETS as you suggested and they told me that a missing middle name is not an issue as long as your first and last name on the registration form are entered the exact same way on your primary form of id.
