GRE Score Recipients

I did the GRE General Test last month and GRE Computer Science this month. In the General Test I indicated 4 score recipients and in the Subject Test I indicated another 4 score recipients.

Now I have one doubt. Will the 8 universities receive both scores?

Interesting question! Not too sure about this, but the score reports that the candidates receive have spaces for all General and Subject scores. Assuming that the universities receive a similar report, they should be getting both scores too. What you could try is to order a score report from the GRE website. If you have to select between General and Subject tests, then the universities will not have received both scores. If you don't, then it is almost certain that both your socres have been reported.

Good luck, and do post back your findings. I think this topic would be extremely useful to future readers.

Hi, about the Subject and General test score reporting. I just stumbled upon this on the GRE website:

Quote:
Cumulative Reporting (Score Retention)
  • GRE score reporting is cumulative. Current GRE Board policy states that your scores are retained for the 5 testing years following the testing year in which you tested.
  • All scores earned during this time will be reported to each institution you designate.
  • You may choose to send only General Test scores, only Subject Test scores, or both scores, but you may not choose to have only those scores from a specific test date reported.
  • Your score report will indicate your designated recipients and your cumulative record reported at that time. However, your designated recipients will not receive information concerning the other score recipients you have chosen.
So, I think that your univs will not receive both your scores unless you choose them to receive both. Hope this helps!
