hi all...
I'm just starting to prepare for my gre, which I plan to take in 2-3 months' time. I need some guidance from all the experienced TMians regarding the preparation - for the vocab, apart from the 3500 words list in Barron's, do people refer to any other standard material ? How about the analogy & reading comprehension sections ?
I need some more advice from people like Sri.. i did my BE in electronics & Comm. & have been mostly working in the area of VLSI design for nearly 4 years... I intend to go for further studies in VLSI.. is work experience going to help me in getting an admission ? how much score would be considered 'reasonably good' ?

thanks,
ruma.

The score which is good depends on the university you are planning to apply in. The words from barrons are not always enough. Keep taking tests, you will come across new words. You work experience, (I dont know much about this) might help if you can get good recos from your employer.

Ruma, check out AmigoRo's post on "How I prepared for GRE Verbal?" at http://www.TestMagic.com/forum/topic...C_ID=2180..Its really very very informative!! (Actually Ro hit the bull's eye, he scored 800 in his verbal)...I guess if u do what he did u can get a score of 700 or above.....And about ur question regarding ECE and stuff, I dont have touch in that field at all..Zilch....My major was CS and so I know somethings about it that's all....But, one thing work ex will definetely help u.....
