Hi Naveen,

The cost varies based on the tution costs at univs.. look up the pre-app package of the univs u r considering (also available online) for tution & living expenses. Be prepared to fund urself for the I sem atleast
I sem tution: $ 3.5 to 7K (incl insurance)
Per month : $ 200 to 500 (rent - based on the univ city) + $ 150 to 250 (others exp).

Try to get a RA/TA ofcourse during the first sem else for the spring sem atleast and manage ur I sem by get a temp job on campus paying 200-500$ per month depends on the hours/work type...

For funding FALL is always better than SPRING...
Also some univs make funding decision only once the candidate is oncampus...

Hope that helped.

How much does it cost to study abroad. I cant afford much. I have heard that it would cost around 8 to 10 Lakhs! Are there any scholarships?
I know there is funding.. How much do they provide?

I am planning to apply Spring 2007 or Fall 2007.
Planned to take up the exam on april or may 2006.

I have only one old Big Book of GRE.

Naveen
8 to 10 lakhs would be probably enough if you balance ur studies while work. But it all depends on the univ u choose, the state univ are cheapere than the private univ. Hope you get it right. Best Of Luck.
