previos day i have registered my name for the GRE exam through online. now how could i know that my request successfully registered...should i get any confirmation letter from ets... por favor, el señor help me about this matter.

Well i suppose you are in india. The last screen on the prometric website which appears after the credit card payment is the one which holds a registeration number. The page states either to save the page or take a immediate printout. I hope you have it.

In order to check visit the prometric website and choose the option of checking appointments. It'll ask you for the reg no. and 4 letters of your last name. After that you'll see the schedule and location of your appointment.

ETS wont send you any letter. However an e-mail might have arrived on your e-mail address you mentioned while registering. I would reccomend you to take a print of the e-mail and forward it to your other e-mail accounts just for safety in case your e-mail account gets hacked. That way u'll have the e-mail in your other account.

thanks for thy reply.. but i dont find nothing like checking appointments... in the main page there is these kind of options
1. Locate a Test Site
2.Schedule a Test
3.Reschedule or Cancel a Test
4.View Test Prices
5.Confirm Your Appointment...

Hey there!

Please follow the link to prometric site from the gre registeration at ets website. That way u'll directly land on the page you require.

Select general test on ets and country as india. It'll redirect you to prometric website. The option of exam confirmation is the one you need.

Hey Hi Mishu,

After registering for the test as said the last screen after u COMMIT REGISTRATION would be the comfirmation screen giving all thy details. You could have even saved that page.

Not only that, once the registration is over you immediately get a confirmation mail in the mail account whose address u specified during the registration process. So better check that mail account u must have got a mail from emailconfirmations@thomson.com, dont remember the Id proprerly though check thy email account.

thats all.. nothing else. at the exam time what should i carry with me except ID. because they sent only a mail nothing else. should i print that.. or they will send something by post.

Take your PP(Passport) and your Confirmation No., thats it....NOTHING else.

I also registered for test few days back. I recieved confirmation mail. ETS center in pakistan says that just bring print out of that mail, your passport and ID card. Beware in other countries except India and pakistan people are required to produce any official identification but if you are from india then you should take your passport and ID card with you. When are you writing your GRE?
