I am an undergraduate senior who wants to get into biochemistry Phd programs at top schools. My gpa is ok (3.75/4), I have done lots of research in my area and I am sure that I could get excellent recommendation letters. However, I recently took the GRE and my scores ( 500V, 700 Q, 5AWA )were not so hot. Do you think that I should retake the general GRE especially since I am also going to take the subject test ? I am also an international student who is studying in the US , does that make a difference ? Help !!

Hey wildberry,
Firstly Congradt's on your gpa that is a marvellous score and achievment. ![]() . Your GRE scores are not so hot and not so cold either. It might pay off to retake the genral GRE as you mentioned in your post. And I don't think that it makes a differece that you are an international student.I hope that helps you abit if you kneed any other advice/info let us know we would be happy to help you out. Good Luck,& Best Wishes Tim ![]() |
