thrillseekers
I'm planning to give the exam by the 1st week of August. Books I have right now : 1. Barron's How to Prepare for the GRE 2. Princeton Review's Cracking the GRE (2004 Edition)I bought this one years ago just to practice. Books I'm planning to buy: 1. Kaplan GRE Exam 2007-2008 Premier Program 2. Princeton Review's Cracking the GRE with DVD, 2007 Edition Now, should I still buy this new edition with DVD? Or the questions/examples/examples will be same as that in 2004 edition? I'm a non-native English speaker who did undergrad in the States. Even though I've got all straight "A"s in 4-5 Sophomore/Junior university level English classes I took, I still think I need to brush-up my Verbal knowledge. Would Kaplan's GRE Verbal Workbook be beneficial ? What y'all think? Thanks in advance! Edit: I do have the "Big Book"
raza5680
Hi, ETS Big Book is excellent for verbal preparation, Barron's list of words will help you alot. Try to get more practice on computer as real test is PC based. Paper practice will not benefit you much on the actual test. Get hold of good software like PowerPrep, Princeton, Kaplan etc best of luck
festivus
I would definitely get the 2007 edition of the PR book. The 2004 is still good for practice if you want extra tests, but newer is better. I think PR is better for verbal than Kaplan, so I would get their verbal workbook instead.
