Hi guys,
Took the GRE general test on Sept. 26th 2003. Got a score of 1540 (Verbal - 740, Quant - 800) on the actual test. The powerprep tests are of the same difficulty. I'd taken the two tests about a day before the actual test. Got scores of 1560 and 1580. Naturally I was expecting to do better. But happy with my scores nevertheless. My academic records are just mediocre. Especially the first two years of my Undergraduate degree. Does anyone know of any good university that gives a greater weightage to the GRE score. I've done my Bachelor's in Computer Science. I'm looking to apply for my MS in Industrial/Management Engineering. |

Hi Charlie,
Four weeks is a lot of time. Get yourself thorough with the Barron's word list. Don't ignore the secondary meanings of word. Get as much practice as possible. I used to take one full length test at least every alternate day (Everyday for the last two weeks. Doesn't matter if the test isn't computer based. Don't worry about your score in the practice tests. The point is to get as much practice as possible). Four weeks is sufficient. I prepared for a month. Save the Powerprep CD for the last four days. |
