Hi All, I want to know a score which will help to get into a decent college for MS in IT/Software engineering.
My graduation marks are pathetic(58% in Electronics and communication engineering) have more than 3 years of experience in IT field, Will be having close to 4 years of exp by 2010. Good in quant, weak in English and vocabulary, I might have to build it from scratch. I am planning to give GRE by November 2009, Is there any chance to get into college early or by mid next year? Also which all books I should follow? I can dedicate an average of 2-3 hours/day for studying as till now I don’t have any intention of walking away from my job. Your suggestions pls.. Libin |

Hi All,
I am currently working . I would like to do prepare GRE . If anyone working and preparing GRE then people like you suits me better. We can discuss the total no. of hours required to prepare GRE, Strategy to follow, time distribution during weekdays, weekend and over the week, what materials to follow(I suppose there are lots of threads and lots of members in this forum to help ), We can fix the timelines and set goals and achieve it as a group. So that everyone gets benefitted. Kindly let me know if anyone interested. Category: Working people GRE give up month: End of october Catch me @:exp.expo@gmail.com |

Hi Ali,
Thanks for the detailed GRE preparation tips. I will be taking my gre in a month's time. I have to yet start my preparation. Please advise which books to work with, keeping in mind the time constraint I have. I look forward to your response. - Jen |

Hi all,
Those of you who are looking for tough practice tests with look-a-like screens MUST give tests on THE BIG CD. They have good stuff. Also, they give a detailed analysis report plus free flash cards and tutorials. All the Best! Regards, mad_dy |

Hi!
I'm new here. I think the post was really helpful. Thanks a lot. I have a question, though. I'm a junior in college and I'm thinking of going to grad school right after I got my degree. When should I take the test? I am planning on taking it some time in the summer. Also, how much time should I spend studying for the test per day? Right now I'm just memorizing vocab from my sis's old kaplan flashcards. (The GRE book is still w/ her) What do you think I should do next? Should I just get a bigbook? Thank you so much |
