anandam
Hi everyone, Since the GRE pattern will be slightly different in November, will it be of disadvantage to answer it in November rather than before November ? And, if yes why ? Thanks.
GRE Pupil
The new math section requires you to actually solve the problem and enter it into the computer. This means guessing and estimation, crucial to answering normal GRE quant. questions efficiently, is no longer an option for test-takers. There's no extra time being incorporated either, the ETS is out to screw us.
GRE_Kickboxer
Remember that it will take them awhile to collect data on the test questions. This means that in early November the questions you see will be in the experimental section. I don't think we should panic until after November. GRE_Pupil is right though. They are trying to make the test harder to prepare for. GRE_Kickboxer
raza5680
According to ETS website there will be ONE NEW question only if any, so you are OK.
peerless
Yes ETS website clearly specifies that for now it will be in the experimental section alone.
GRE Pupil
The question will be in the regular test, and if you take it in late November, I'd wager that it will count.
anandam
Thanks everyone, So, can I answer before 15th Nov without extra preparation ?
yuqin
I don't think that ETS will count the new sections in this year. And we all know what's their work efficiency. But most impotantly, they renew the pool of test over a month time.
