Hi,
I took the GRE test yesterday and my scores are 740Q 580V. I think I did not do very well in analytical writing either but I will have to wait for 4 weeks before I know for sure. I intend to apply for PhD program in Economics. Could someone tell me whether my scores are high enough for applying to schools like Cornell, Brown, Cambridge, LSE etc? Should I sit for another test in November? What are the pros and cons of appearing for GRE test more than once? Please advice! Does work experience count when you apply to graduate school? I am working as economic analyst in World Bank. Thanking you all in advance for your comments and suggestions. Jane |

No point in taking it again in November unless you study -- intensively. Otherwise your score will not deviate that much from the one you got. It's how the test is designed.

I've got the GRE to study for, and if you're reading this I've managed to successfully avoid doing it... Get motivated for the GRE! : http://youtube.com/watch?v=9rFx6OFooCs |
