Hi,

Please enlighten me on the actual order of sections in the real exam. In practice tests, I see that the order is Verbal, Quants and then AWA. But there are posts in the "Just finished GRE" forum saying they had Verbal, Quants and Verbal again, what does that mean ? Does the verbal section get split ?

Please reply, my exam is on thursday.

Thanks in advance,
Vasu.

There is a possibility of an additional experimental section (either verbal or quantitative). This section does not count for the score, but you don't know which one is the experimental. I had quantitative-verbal-quantitative.

Good luck!

Yevgeny.

So it must be like a full section right ? Real tricky that is.

Yes. A full section, like the regular one.

hi yevgeny,

The test section, does it appear mandatorily for everyone or only for a few?

In such a case our test may be for more than 2-1/2 hrs right!

Hey Monica,
The experimental section appears mandatorily for every testtaker. It can either be V-Q-V or Q-V-Q. And the AWA can appear either bfore or after the VQV/QVQ sections. I had the AWA bfore VQV. Hope itz clear now !

and vasu ... All the best for yur GRE !

Thanks a lot, yevgeny and sunxcat for clarifying that for me.

I need lots of luck & wishes, coz I m soooo bad in verbal. I know its not advisable, but I m trying to cram the brain with lotsa words this past couple of days and today. T'row is the big day

Definitely take more time to prepare than I did people, dont underestimate GRE !

Thanks,
Vasu.
