How accurate is Score800?

Hi all, I'm new here, this is my first post. I could really use some advice regarding the quant section.

I've been preparing for the GRE since late January, and today I took my first practice test under timed conditions. It was the free CAT math exam from score800.com. I'm freaking out because I only scored 520, really had major time management issues (I guessed on the last 6 problems). This score suggests I'm in serious trouble. I'm planning on taking the exam at the end of March and can't take it any later. I really need a 650 on the quant section and I'm wondering if it is possible for me to get to this level within 3 weeks of prep? Any suggestions on what I should do? I've been practicing from Nova and Barron's and feel I understand the problems in those books, but obviously my preparation has not been sufficient. I must admit math is not a strength of mine. I'm starting to wonder if I'm capable of scoring 700+, even with another month of preparation. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

My apologies, the site is 800score.com.

Guys don't take 800score seriously .The problems are just for practice.Ets never tests problems which have lengthy solutions. They test only whether you can come up with the right logic.800 score i feel have only lengthy word problems ...no logical reasoning. However by practicing those tests you can definitely increase your speed.

Sahil, how do you feel about the recent edition of Barron's? They're review questions seem really good. Do they reflect the GRE accurately? I know PowerPrep is the best, but they're so valuable I hate to use them just for practice. Thanks for any tips!

To tell you seriously I think none of the books available are close to actual gre. Some of them are either too easy while others are too difficult (see lengthy ) .Nova has the strategies which are very useful.
Remember Ets tests whether you can get the logic write in given alloted time. All the problems can be aced comfortably only if you can spot the shortcut/logic.

Do the co-ordinate geometry basics, properties of triangles etc .If possible get a 10th-12th standard math books.Review it.
Remember Ets tests you whether you can think fast not solve fast.

Yeah, I have not heard good things about 800score.com either. I would do the tests from Powerprep and Princeton Review...far more accurate. Take one of those and then see where you stand. You'll probably score quite a bit higher since you've been prepping well.

800score isn't the only one that says I'm in trouble. I just took a Barron's practice test (paper) and missed 10 of the questions. I'm just way too slow for this stuff. I'm impressed by people that can score above 700, I'm thinking it won't be possible for me to solve the problems fast enough for a score around 650. I only have a few weeks to prepare and I honestly don't think that is enough time to get fast enough to solve the problems. It must be innate.

Well, what about working with a tutor for a few hours? Or if you have more time before you need to take the GRE, take a math class at a community college near you. That could help a LOT.

Believe me if you get more than 24 you are close to 800 hundred. Between 24 and 22 between 720 760. The problem comes when you get obsessive and use this five test too much…scores are not real at that point.

Score800 might be good for math but it is terrible for English. The vocabulary words and style of the questions are not at all similar to the actual GRE, and the reading comprehension passages have an odd tone; they seem to have been written for the purpose of the test.
