Problems with standard flashcard is that its pretty general and has not being tailored to individual needs.

Other big problem is that we do not get an idea of where we stand or at what pace are we improving once we start using these flashcards

I used QuickScan www.scoresofsteel.org which in 10mins of test gives:

1. a customized deck of flashcard and
2. assessment report highlighting my percentile score.

I got 84 percentile, why dont you guys try and lets see how we all are doing relative to each other !

97 percentile is a great score, your vocab must be really really good

@aquarezia: Thanks. Seriously its not that amazing perhaps it didn't ask me anything really tough. I noticed a few mistakes on it as well. E.g. it gave me a word "Contumacious" which means "stubbornly disobedient", interestingly, the answer choices I encountered, none of them was even close to this meaning. But overall its nicely made and quite user friendly. Great find!

hey thanks..it was a gr8 site!!i got a 95.67 percentile..iv jus started preparin 4 GRE in jan..hav my exam in aug..let me know if u hav similar sites..gr8 find buddy!!

My scores with quickscan was 84 percentile and now with 1 week of training with quickscan flashcards I am in 94 percentile belt.....good stuff aquarezia, looks like its working . thx a ton!

2 wrong out of 101, but my percentile is loco:

Here is what it says:

101.04 percentile (-1.04 % of the test takers have scored more than you.)

My English vocabulary is good, but I don't understand a negative percentile of people scoring higher than me...strange.

Percentile score can never exceed 100%, though it can move up and down as more people take test (its a statistical data afterall).

Jive, the "quickscan top 10" chart on Scoresofsteelshows that 96% is by far the highest percentile on Quickscan.

Sahil and Newclearbomb ranks 4th the 6th respectively - congrats.

I am still to make it to the top-10 though...

I got 96.7 something when I took it last week.

I think the words a little too easy, not sure though.
