REALLY don't worry about the new quantitative question. It asks you to fill out the answer (instead of picking a, b, c, d), but the question is ridiculously easy. Really, you'll be calculating areas of triangles.

what pevdoki says is true. my question was equivalent to calculating the least common multiple of 5 and 6. the only preparation it requires is having a bit of confidence because with the multiple choice at least the fact that your answer appears in the choices gives some level of confidence. here you have to be confident on your own.
as for the verbal new type question i don't remember whether or not i had one, but i wouldn't worry about it because its...verbal and no one really cares about it.

Yeah, and it's just one questions in each part so to take some special preparation is probably not necessary. I think that the new question in the verbal part is easier than the antonyms and analogies questions.

I found out about the new type only in the morning of the day when I took the test, so my preparation was to go to the ETS website to see what the heck is this new question type, and at least look at the sample questions they have there.
