Well I am not sure if the Barron's 2007 edition diagnostic test is overly difficult, but 8 days ago I made a 510.

I reviewed the book and 3 days later I made a 1010 on the Power Prep test 1. Two days later I took PP test 2 and made an 860.

One day later I made an 1100 on the real GRE.

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED!!

That is a very large jump in a short amount of time. I am going to retake the diagnostics test and assess whether Barron just made it extremely hard to make you think you need the book.

But anyway, I only needed a 500 and in a week I got it to twice that.

Now...I just gotta get my assistantship!

Well that makes me feel a little better. I just finished a timed sample of verbal and quan 30 questions each section, and got a 940. I used GRE Bible, which is supposedly adaptive like the real test. I have the real test tomorrow, so hopefully I get better than 940!

I've been studying a lot using Barron's book also. Powerprep doesn't work on my computer enough to be able to read the questions.

I don't know if these samples are that indicative of the real performance I will have on the actual test.
