i recently purchased the big book and I was wondering if there were any tests from these two guides that are the same. As I flip through the big book some of the questions seem familiar. Just wondering if anyone checked this out. I guess it is not that big of a deal but any insight would be apreciative.

Gre big book is probably the 8th edition of GRE books ETS publish, while the New guide is the 10th one. 10th ed contains 7 tests administered in years 89/90/91/92. I've seen the big book which contains 27 tests , so lots of practice materials.
But the real point is they are very good practice for verbals, not adequate for Quantitative as paper based exams used to have less time (30Q = 30min), hence most of them are easy. The CAT will have harder ones if you are to get a high score.

Did you ever heard of GRE paper test prep for sell (GMAT have 3 packages of prep tests) or other new paper test administered in years 95-99..etc.?[8)]
