I have the same problem with Mr. topic-owner about writing. I did take the test once, and my score for writing is only 6. I was advised that the best way to improve writing is nothing special than practicing it everyday. However, I've been battling establishing a daily routine of writing. As the matter of fact, I am very good at making study plan and I do it all the time. Sadly enough, implementing practically the plan made is a very different story and I have been always stuck at it.
In my opinion, there is no secret ingredient for mastering English skills: Practice makes perfect. The only trouble remained is how to build up and develop the habit of practicing. Anyway, my skype is minhsonfj. |

Improving your writing from a 6.0 to a 6.5 (or even 7.0) is often a matter of fixing grammar mistakes. Get your wrining checked and then make a list of the mistakes you make more than once. This list will be the key to improving your writing. The mistakes will be obvious to you (after someone has pointed them out!) but are just bad habits that need to be eliminated.
I hope this helps. Mike ielts2u - an IELTS writing help site Last edited by ielts2u : 2009 January 15th at 09:27 PM. Reason: Spelling mistake! |
