    Talking Writing - Task 1

    Dear All,

I love to write a lot and my question is:

is there an upper limit for the letter words? the minimum is 150 words but is there a maximum? i wrote one letter sample to set for IELTS general exam and it came up 250 words? is this ok or i will lose points for that?

    Thanks...

Supposedly, the upper limit is 20% more than the limit. However, if you write over that most examiners will continue reading. The only risk is that you get the one examiner who is strict on the word limit!!!

On the other hand, 250 words is not showing a great deal of dicipline in your writing. Could you have eliminated some of the information?
