Please need your advise!
Hello everyone;
I am considering to take the IELTS, as i have taken the TOEFL twice and i am really dissapointed with it. First time i got 113 out of 120, (r29,l28,s27,w29), and i just needed one more point for the speaking part, but Ontario college of teachers did not accept my scores. Second time i got 104 (r27,l26,s29,w25)and i really practiced a lot and this time i did less on the writing part. Ontario College of Teachers require total 103 (read24, listen 24, speak 28 and writ 28). They have one of the highest requirements! I don;t know what the equivilant is to the Ielts, but i really wanted to ask you what do u think, is it better if i took the Ielts instead? These are OCT IELTS requirements: The College requires proof of an overall score of at least 7 on the IELTS (academic test only), with scores of at least 6.5 in reading and listening and scores of at least 7 in writing and speaking. I think the TOEFL is very demanding and too long! What are your experiences? i also want to hear from someone that had taken the TOEFL too and thier thoughts. Thank you in advance; Kierra |

Ok so i want to ask you AGAIN. Do u think it is smart to prepare for the IELTS, as i have taken theTOEFL twice? Is Ielts that different and does it take that much time to prepare and learn. I already got some books from the library, so will see what they look like.
Also which are the best sites online that you would recommend me to practice from ? I really am already frustrated from all this, due to this test i can still not apply for my teaching certificate ![]() Sorry for all these questions, i just needed more opinions and don;t want to waste my time anymore. Hoping for a response. |
