    Ah ok.

I found a book called "101 hints for IELTS" and it has a very good explanation and shows how to write an essay (from brainstorming to final draft). It gave me a very nice insight and ideas when producing an outline for essays

Anyway, I found this task -

Some people prefer to spend their lives doing the same things and avoiding change. Others, however, think that change is always a good thing.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

    So, my outline:
intro - Restate the topic question and state my own opinion
body - This is where I always get stuck. I can divide the body into two paragraphs (each devoted to one view), but usually body has 3 paragraphs. And I have no idea what to put into the thrid one :/ Any ideas? I could discuss pros/cons of both views but wont that be too much?
    conclusion - restate my opinion

    thank a lot again!

EDIT: i thought about the body part, and I came up with this -

1st and 2nd paragraph - discuss the view I agree with
3rd paragraph - discuss the other opinion.

generally speaking, is it good if I (in such type of essay where my opinion is needed) that I devote myself to discussing the view I agree with more than the opposite? Or should I always try to devote an equal amount of space for both views?

The IELTS essay section is like TOEFL iBT Independent Writing section. It's academic essay and opinion essay. The questions are also similar but worded differently. I used a toefl independent writing book that really helped on amazon. "Sample Essays and Study Guide for Toefl ibt Independent Writing." It's an e-book but you can download kindle for free. It helped a lot with my essay writing and goes over thesis, topic sentence, and structure.

Amazon.com: Sample Essays and Study Guide for TOEFL iBT Independent Writing eBook: Exam Writing Masters: Kindle Store

Essay should be minimum 300 words and well organized. Good luck!

    Dear friend

    Dear friend,

In IELTS exam you should write in task 2 about your Idea, agreement and disagreement, 2 sides arguments, one side arguments, advantage and disadvantage, and other kinds, but in each case you should write more about side that you are agree and less about other views.
I have got 6 at the first attempt in December. In my idea for essays that ask about our idea to be agree or disagree with the topic like"......to what extent do you agree or disagree?", we can use these expressions in Introduction paragraph after writing general sentence and narrowing it:
To a certain extent I agree with the idea, however I believe that....."for a little agreement"
To a great extent I agree with the idea, however I believe that....."for a complete agreement"
and for one side arguments it is better to be agree with the writer and write about our agreement.

    Sincerely.
