Some people believe that the radio is the best way to get news, while others believe that TV is better for this purpose. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

 

 

 

World todays had seen enormous changes in term of media technology. For example, in the 1980s people always listening to the radio to get the latest news apart from buying a newspaper. However, years later when television was introduced to society, people tend to watch television to get news. There is controversy debate even nowadays regarding whether radio or TV is the best platform to access news.

 

Some people believe that they can get news better in radio. One of the reason is due to the current advance of technology that make radio possible to be everywhere. For instance, we can find it in our gadgets such as mobile phone, and even in our car. Thus, make it possible to access news everywhere. In addition, people think that they will be easily distract if they watch news in television compared to radio. This is because television has a lot of entertainment programs which may catch our attention while watching the news compare to radio. Apart from that, we can access news while doing our things. For example, one can drive and at the same time can access to news. This is beneficial to our current workaholic society.

 

Nevertheless, some people considered TV as better platform to access news compared to radio. It is based on the quality of presenting the news as one of the reasons. People will gain more information by watching news in TV. For example, when we watch news about traffic accident, we can observe how severe the accident is even we are not there. Besides, TV is more entertaining compare to radio. We can see picture moving around while in radio we only listening to voice which we easily get bored.

 

In my opinion, both parties have their merits. On balance, however, I tend to believe that radio is the most effective and accessible ways to news as compare to watching news in TV.
