Hi,
Just want to ask everyone's experience with taking the IELTS. It's my first time to take it, and I'm a bit nervous. Personally, I don't think my English is that bad, but considering that I'll be graded for the whole thing is just driving me crazy.![]()
I do know, however, that I have my weaknesses (yep, plural form). I hate writing essays, so the "writing" part will be a pain, I rarely speak English and my brain goes haywire once I start speaking. Hahaha. But the real problem is with the "reading" part of the test. I really do not get it but from the practice tests I have done, I always score a 27 - no more no less. Let's see if I happen to score higher on other test books.
I know I can do it.. but I'm just too lazy to practice right now. For me, the type of test I hate most in IELTS is to pick the topic sentences in the "reading" section. I always get the wrong answers. And the "yes, no, not given" test type. Urgh. The ones I like best are filling in the blanks, i always get high scores on these tests.

Well anyway, I hope to pick up a tip or two from you... and hopefully get a decent grade so I won't have to take the test again four months from now!!!![]()
