Good listening practice for IELTS
It’s not easy to get listening practice but Wikipedia has an archive of spoken articles – useful for this and pronunciation practice. See it at Wikipedia:Spoken articles - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
There are lots more good links at Active IELTS. Cheers to all Paul |

Hello
I'm new to this forum. Looks interesting! I'm a teacher of English and what I find is that my students can read much better in English than they can listen. The problem most students have is that they don't recognise the words they are hearing, whereas the same words on a page would be easier to understand. So they don't even decipher the information they are supposed to be answering a question on! John Field in the UK has done a lot of research into this problem. Does anyone have a solution for students' inability to decipher spoken words? Joseph K Prague |

Jagruti,
Practice is very important when preparing for the IELTS Exam. I found some free listening practice tests at: IELTS Free Practice Tests. I also have put together some tips on for the IELTS listening Exam. Check it out and let me know what you think.
