Quantitaive: Barron's, Nova, ETS Math review.
Verbal: Big Book, words (Big book word list is more comprehenisive than Barron's if you have time) any other verbal practice you can access. Powerprep: do the exercises, and later the tests. Writing: Nova and any writing workbook you can access. Identify your weakness points and attack them. Good Luck! |

Thanks again Luma.I believe you are referring to GRE Maths and not Nova GRE prep course.
Also I never heard about ETS maths review, is that the one we get from ETS after registering? Would Barron be sufficient for writing, or I would have to buy either Nova or Kalpan? Thanks for your time. Regards, grr |

http://www.ets.org/Media/Tests/GRE/p...thPractice.pdf http://www.ets.org/Media/Tests/GRE/p...thPractice.pdf and download the Powerprep- it has a good set of practice problems and two tests. Download GREŽ POWERPREP Software If you use Barrons only as the Math reference, you need to refer to a statistic resource, the Barrons statistics is not sufficient. For the writing, again Barron's is not sufficient. Nova, has a good writing section but it contains afew samples that's why you need another writing workbook that contains plenty of samples. Check the writing subforum, there are afew good essays posted by Lime. |

Thanks again. Appreciate your help in providing links and guiding me to a good start. So as per your suggestion here is what i'm planning to buy: 1. new Barrons-2010 GRE. is it ok if i can use 2009 edition or a 2008 edition? 2. Nova GRE latest edition-tentative. I have an old softcopy for Nova GRE PREP course, edition-2004. Am confused if that would be good enough or am I required to buy a latest edition, which is of 2006 and comes with a CD?Appreciate your inputs. So here is my preparation material: MATH/Quantitative: 1. ETS math review 2. Barrons Math 3. Need something for statistics Writing: 1. Barrons 2. Nova GRE prep 3. from forum-essays posted by Lime Verbal: 1. Barron's wordlist-already on.. 2. barons book 3.Kaplan GRE exam verbal workbook-3rd edition, July-2004, got a softcopy. The latest available edition is 6th edition. 4.Big books verbal tests, so would use it. total 27 tests..or 21..need to re-check. Softwares: free Powerprep Software-would use at the end of my preparation. Could you also suggest some statistics book/reference to go along with Barrons?and is Barrons sufficient for rest of all the GRE math preparation.? Please let me know if I had missed out something. ![]() Thanks again for your time. ![]() Regards, Grr |
