Hi, everybody!
I registered here at TestMagic for general advice and support. While I'm not going to be pursuing my graduate degree anytime soon, my fiance and brother are.
My fiance is applying to law school for the 2010 cycle and the process (studying, LSAT, applications, money, and so on) is stressful, daunting, and exciting all at the same time. He's really on top of everything, though. The problem is my brother. He's working on his bachelor's degree right now and he and his wife want to attend Stanford or UC Berkeley, two amazing schools, for a graduate degree in physics. They're both very excited, but they're not as serious or aware of how unbelievably competitive these programs are. I want to help them out and, if my fiance's experience with law school has taught me anything, I suspect the place to start is by talking to those who have applied and succeeded or failed. I assume admission into these schools is somewhat of a numbers game, even if they tell you on their websites that they consider the candidate from many angles. Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself. This board looks like a lot of fun. And maybe I'll even have something useful to offer to undergrad applicants, as it wasn't too long ago that I was in their shoes. |
