Hi, HELLO to everyone on this forum. I am looking at applying to some US programs and will be taking the GRE soon. So far the TestMagic forum has been very informative and are there any other UK based GRE testtakers out there? Of course any helpful comments from GRE takers in other countries is welcome. I was in Swaziland before for a while but couldn't find anyone there taking the GRE. I believe the GMAT was administered there as a paper-test only. Well Swaziland is a small country - this was in 2003 Will also appreciate anybody's comments on what's the best material for the quant section. I used Number2.com and found the maths questions okay but the verbal was a bit 'off'. I am going through Kaplan's GMAT material. It seems to me that this is a great forum. Pity I didn't know about it before. ERIN - I am using GMAT math material to practise. Is there any discernible difference between the GMAT math and GRE Verbal. I know the GRE has quant comparisons but my intuition is that the GRE quant comparison questions are a variation on the Data Sufficiency questions. What do you think? thks Last edited by bluecoral : 03-17-2005 at 05:14 PM. |

Hi there, and welcome to TestMagic.
You'll probably get a better response about your GRE in the GRE forum, but I can tell you that you should stick to the material from your test. If you're studying for the GMAT, use GMAT material; if you're studying for the GRE, use GRE material. There's plenty of good material available, so there's really no reason to shortchange yourself in this respect. ![]() |
